Hong Kong Day 1 // Tim Ho Wan + Avenue of Stars

Hello folks, I finally got to get some 'me' time to blog about my most recently getaway to hong kong!

If you're curious, I got the air tickets at a really good deal, $160 per tix and I got this as a present for GJ as well (since I want to travel and he always doesn't bear to spend his money on air tix). Definitely killing two birds with one stone!

So we arrived at hong kong international airport at around 5-ish in the morning and we were just in time to catch the express train to the city. Remember to buy the tickets in bulk because it will be cheaper! Checked in the hotel, placed our luggage there and we left for our first breakfast......

Tim Ho Wan!!!

We reached there at around 8 and had a hard time finding it... until we had to ask the concierge twice to get there. There wasn't anyone queuing up when we reached so we headed off to find seats and waited till 15 mins before its opening hour and to our shock, this was the queue when we get that after which! Now you know, you've to be a little more kiasu.

One good thing about it is that you get to order while waiting to save some time!

Sleepy and angsty GJ while waiting for the food to be served, a hungry man is an angry man indeed.

The highly raved char siew bao is really superb and didn't disappoint me at all!

Love dim sum with prawn fillings, all were good except for the teo chew dumplings, probably the worst dumplings I've ever tried. Anyway, it's way affordable here as compared to singapore! We only paid less than 20 sgd for the whole meal :>

Spent the rest of the day at tsim sha tsui, walking around aimlessly after visiting avenue of stars and headed back to the hotel for an early rest so this explains why there ain't much visuals.

Day two up soon, goodnight (:
