Bangkok 2014 (Part IV)

Hello folks, I've finally come down to the last part of this six days trip. Honestly, this is probably the first trip which I didn't take much pictures as I didn't really bother to since it's my 4th consecutive year that I visited bkk.

But still, I've to share some awesome cafes and restaurants I visited!

Roast was full house when we reached and had to wait for about 30 mins.

Drinks were being served pretty swiftly after we ordered!!

Snapped some visuals while waiting for the food :>

Pardon me again for not taking much food pictures over here as we were all famished by the time food came. I've to mention that the crab cake benedict which I had was fabulous (though rider's serves better ones) and I didn't get to try others so I won't comment but I'm pretty sure they enjoyed the meal as well.

On the same exact day, we headed over to central world in the evening for desserts. I've always wanted to try since last year but couldn't find it at siam paragon so it's a must to have it this time.

Their signature shibuya honey toast was surprisingly awesome! I mean it's a highly raved dessert here and I didn't want to have high expectation to prevent disappointment but woah really, so good that the guys bought a second one on the same day, just imagine that?! For a guy like GJ who doesn't fancy sweet stuffs.

We also ordered the ferrero honey toast which was pretty nice as well but definitely not as awesome as the shibuya.

After You has several branches, so you probably can check it out at central world and siam paragon which are more convenient to get to!

This is the last one I'm gonna share for this trip.

This is one damn secluded place which we took damn long to find! We even walked into someone's house and almost got caught because we turned into the wrong alley. The worse part of that day was I had stomachache in the morning and was feeling extremely weak since I didn't have any food the entire morning till this.

As I've mentioned, my stomach was uneasy so I ordered their homemade muesli with fruits and nuts and I swear, it tasted like heaven!

And yes, they love their meals too!

This is one exquisite cafe in bangkok that you won't get to see in singapore because they actually grow some of the food ingredients and not purchasing from outside. However, there's a price to pay for this definitely which is to find out the right path to get there.

Bangkok 2014 (Part III)

Not sure if you're guessing where this is, and yes how can you miss their chatuchak weekend market. Some people dislike going there as it's crazily hot but stuffs there are cheaper than any shopping places at town.

What I like most is their coconut ice-cream which I didn't take a picture using my dslr ):

We headed to the ninth cafe at chit lom area for dinner after a long shopping day at chatuchak and union mall. We had authentic thai food at last, from basil chicken rice to green curry to tom yum and pad thai!

Food was relatively good at this branch. Service and ambience were the thumbs up ones!

And this strawberry mille crepe is what my sis loves most at ninth cafe but I still think audrey's nicer!

Bangkok 2014 (Part II)

This was definitely one of the best parts of this trip, having scrumptious breakfast beside the pool. Arcadia suites does change their breakfast menu in alternate days thus you won't get bored of eating the same things everyday.

Some visuals of us (we didn't really take much visuals honestly).

Our lunch spot on the second day:

The guys decided to order calamari and I felt it was not too bad but I still prefer those at fish&co.

But you cannot miss this out! Their signature greyhound chicken wings omg they really taste like heaven to me. I ordered two plates of this because I knew that I'll eat a lot of this which I did hahaha.

I can't really remember the name of this dish, but it's some kind of crab meat salted fish fried rice which was pretty good as well!

How can we not have desserts after a meal so here's our stop for them:

Our initial plan was to visit let them eat cake but we saw this...... which looks more cozy and prettier thus we settled for this instead.

Blueberry crumble which I felt was damn sweet, doesn't really appeal to me though.

Milo crepe, damn interesting I know, is wow!!! It doesn't only seem special but tasted uniquely great as well! You can't miss this if you happen to be here.

Strawberry cheesecake mousse was relatively great as well. I love how the rich the cream cheese mousse is along with sweet strawberry coulis!

Really just table full of goodness! On a side note, if you're not a fan of sweet stuffs, mocha latte should be a miss for you.

Bangkok 2014 (Part I)

Hi folks, I finally had the time to do up my bkk post as I didn't have to work today. Will be dividing into several parts instead of posting of my daily activities there as I realized we didn't take much pictures except cafes and restaurants that we went to.

So, we took jetstar there. Bought their promo tix quite sometime back at about $140 each. Pretty cheap right! Okay then my sis and I had quite a hard time booking the hotel as we wanted to choose a better + affordable one since we are staying for five nights.

Arcadia suites was our final choice. It's located at phleon chit, two stops away from siam.

This is our one bedroom suite!

With living room......

And kitchen as well! Just look at the amenities, they provide us with washing machine as well which we used every night to wash our clothes and the best part was it can dry them too!

Oh yes and our suite has two televisions, one in the room and another in the living room.

And this is the best part of this suite, a huge toilet and nice tub!

To be honest, this place obviously isn't that easy to find because it's in a one way alley in from a main road but very safe! They also provide free tuktuk shuttle to and fro phleon chit bts. On top of all these, this serviced apartment/hotel is pretty affordable, I paid about $230 for five nights which I think it's damn worth it!

You can check out more at there website here :>

We headed out after checking in the afternoon to platinum mall, quite standard luh usually the first place most of the singaporeans will head to first. I'd usually hit the pratunam market first but it was pretty late already so we left that for the second day.

Settled down for our first meal at Fuji restaurant at the level six of platinum mall. Food wasn't as good as what I had two years back when I went with lynette but overall, it was still alright and very affordable too. We ordered so much and only paid $10 each hehe.

Part two will be up soon, stay tuned!
