Genuine or fake

As you know, as we grow older, we get to meet different kinds of people from all walks of life. It began with school, then getting a part time job to settling for a full time or permanent one. Some people remain positive in people whom they meet, but some just can't. For me, I'm somewhere in the middle.

Pardon me for being blunt, but I do feel if you don't judge, you're superficial. And I'm pretty sure most people out there don't like to be judged either, correct me if I'm wrong, but who likes to be judged? Almost nobody.

Now let's talk about genuine or fake people.

I've read an article quoting, "A friendship which lasts more than 7 years is a true friendship." Do you agree or beg to differ? I'm sure everyone has their own stories. Least for me, I agree because I have a clique of girlfriends who are always there for me, being genuine and true, not judging you. Not only that, a number of others whom I know for more than 7 years are sincere as well. These are the friends whom you don't contact or meet up often, but secretly always caring for you. These are the friends whom like you for who you are and even if they dislike a certain part of you (just because this is your character), they make you grow and they grow together with you. This is the friendship which will never drift apart irregardless of time limitation.

Now the fake ones, or rather I should say people who ain't genuine at all. Let me say first, they are not friends at all. These are the people who make friends with you just because they want some benefits from you. These are the people who judge you for things you do, be it good or bad. These are the people who tell you something, and do another and this is what I name as, hypocrisy. These are also the people who won't be there for you when you need some support. These are also the people who act as though they like you a lot, treasure you as a friend but in actual fact, they don't at all.

I know I've to face how vicious reality works and I know I've to learn to just trust a few. Like what my best friend told me, just accept that there are a lot of superficial people around. Pardon me again for being blunt, but I'm this straightforward, don't expect me to give you the slightest respect when you don't because you don't deserve it.

Hong Kong Day 5&6 // Macau

Shall do a short and sweet post about the last part of my first trip in 2014.

Visited Ruins of St Paul's which is really majestically beautiful.

Tried the famous Margeret's Cafe e Nata egg tarts in macau! Thank goodness that there wasn't any long queue when I was there (maybe because it was a monday), and two of us finished this in less than 15 mins :3

Mak's noodle for dinner after a day in Macau and I really love the juicy big prawns wrapped in soft silky dumpling skin!

Random dessert shop, little prince cafe, near to our hotel which serves really good stuffs that I don't even know how to describe it but it's some kind of a pudding + ice-cream + homemade strawberry puree?

One dim sum, which was the last dim sum meal in hong kong and also the best among all! It definitely beats tim ho wan hands down. Everything here tastes like heaven and I can't even pick any fault with it even when I ordered the lor mai gai by accident, which explained why we didn't finish our food and had to take some away.

Lastly, greyhound cafe for dessert and WINGS!! I know it's funny how I craved for this but come on, there isn't one in singapore and I really love their wings!

Till then x (:

Hong Kong Day 4 // Kam Wah Cafe + Ocean Park

As I've mentioned in my previous post, my camera died on me so I could only use my phone to snap the visuals for the last three days in hong kong.

Headed out early to Kam Wah Cafe, situated in between prince edward and mong kok, for breakfast! What I actually wanted to try so much was the pineapple bun with butter. It was good, but still can't be compared to the one I had in taipei shida night market. I personally feel, the rest were just run of the mill.

And now, to another wonderful place in hong kong, Ocean Park! I've been here thrice, when I was 7, two years ago and this year. I really love how they are always trying to make the park more amazing by constantly renovating, adding new themes and rides to it!

Jellyfishes in all sorts of shapes and colours.

Look at those adorable penguins!!

What we had for lunch and I really miss having turkey legs.

Some other visuals of the park (pardon me for not taking much and explaining much because I was enjoying all the insane rides there!!)

And look at this sleeping gigantic panda!

Last but not least, pictures of us both <3

Anyway heads up to all, head to the park early as there are a lot to visit and try all the roller coaster rides which I personally feel they are the best of this park :3

Hong Kong Day 3 // Disneyland

I've been anticipating for this day for so long!!! Wanted to visit the park on the second day actually but due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to shift it to the third day.

Look at this disney train to the resort, damn cute right?!

Upon reaching the park at around 9.30am, we quickly went to purchase the tickets.

And started snapping pictures at the USA side.

And yay, managed to find a cart selling minnie and mickey hairbands so I quickly took it and asked the vendor crew to snap a picture for us :3

Pardon me, but I can't really remember much about the different themes of lands in disneyland because I didn't even bother looking at the map and just went with the flow and walked around.

However, what left the deepest impression was toy story land because it has the most thrilling ride, RC racer, which scared the shit out of GJ. Can you imagine he actually came down with teary eyes hahahahaha, sorry for being mean but it's just too hilarious for a person who loves adrenaline rush! :P

And now, time for some food!!

Disney ice-cream......

Three little pigs char siew buns!

Last but not least, some visuals from my phone because my camera died on my halfway through it ): And when I said died, it really died (spoilt and I had to send for repair which costs me $138)!

And I'm still dreaming to visit LA's disneyland, hopefully in another less than 2 years' time!

Hong Kong Day 2

Now, guess where's the first stop of the second day in hong kong!

This should already be quite obvious......

And yes, I've finally tried this after a failed attempt two years ago. I really love their scrambled eggs and I can say it's the best I've ever tried (though it's a little salty which I didn't know initially and foolishly added salt and pepper to it). Their steam egg white is pretty good as well, better than yee shun company's imo.

It is a MUST to visit here if you're going to hong kong and don't worry, you can go there anytime within their opening hours for their scrambled eggs toast because it's being served all day (and I only found out on the last day of my trip)! I'll definitely not go early in the morning just to queue for it now.

Settled for lunch at a random restaurant at times square, pizza express. The service was meh and food were meh too. So you can just give it a miss. The only two things I like about there were the ambience and wifi!

A must to take picture with the hong kong street! :>

What a pouty boy :3

The last stop of the day was the peak which we queued for almost 1.5 hours to get tix, into the tram and up the steep hill but it was worth it for the magnificent night view of hong kong city.

And last but not least, we settled dinner at my fav restaurant at the peak, bubba gump! They serve mostly prawns, any kind of prawns, from drunken to fried to cajun and etc. Give it a shot if you happen to be there (:
