Fashion against aids

The weather was definitely on our side when we reached.

This was the very first fashion against aids launch in singapore and 400 guests were invited to this private event (or party?)! It was a little mundane for us because we were actually working and couldn't really enjoy while the invited guests could have unlimited flow of drinks, finger food, ice-cream, oysters and etc. 

Nevertheless, it was awesome still as compared to working in store! (:

Extremely exhausted from a full day of preparation and work for fashion against aids (FAA) event at tanjong beach club today but nevertheless, I really had an awesome day working with my fellow H&M colleagues (: Shall elaborate more about this another day with pictures of course because I've to turn in soon for another long day of work tomorrow as well as being a kia-su singaporean to head down to store to get the gorgeous FAA garments!

Life happens when you're asleep

"These are the months that I’ve chosen to be asleep.  These are the months when I stopped liking what I saw in front of me so I decided to change it. Alter the reality, contour it to my liking. I went to sleep because nothing can hurt you there, not even dreams or nightmares. You’re slowly dying and it feels like a warm blanket that’s wrapping itself around you. Do you know how good it feels to trick people into thinking you’re alive? Here I am buying groceries and licking envelopes. Here I am laughing at the appropriate times and asking the right questions but it’s all just an elaborate ruse. I look alive, like a real person, but I’m actually asleep.  When are you going to notice it? Poke my skin and the flesh will feel real. Poke the insides though and you’ll see that it’s all dead."

Fruitful weekend

This weekend was exceptionally packed but it has definitely plastered a big smile on face for many reasons... 

1. Shopping w/ sis at H&M and orchard on friday. 

2. Flea @ scape was quite a success, at least I had some earnings to last me for a week till my pay day. 

3. Caught the vow and I'd say I really quite like this show though the plot is kinda cliche but it's inspired by a true story. At least, the ending was up to my expectation! Definitely worth the price paid :> 

4. Finally booked the air tix to taiwan durng sept w/ mom and sis yippee yay!

Ultimate disappointment

It has been quite some time since I've worked in H&M... 7 months had just passed in a blink of an eye.

Just what had happened to the working hours of the part timers? Is this just happening to the divided department or other departments as well? A mixed feeling or disappointment and ansgt upon receiving the latest schedule for the upcoming week. There isn't much full shift or rather minimal full shifts for part timers and the hours are totally horrible now, timings like 8-2, 3-8, 4.30-10.30?!

Frankly speaking, I wouldn't want to waste my time traveling to town just to work for 5 or 6 hours. It's a total waste of time! Previously, you all asked us to work more and give more schedules and now cutting our hours like mad? I wouldn't have whined if I need not support myself and when I wanna work more to save more during this rather long holiday. 

I'm really utterly speechless and disappointed about this matter. Maybe it's time I should find another job.

Finally relented to update my facebook profile to the timeline style or which ever it is being named as and happened to scroll back to those days when it was our batch to organize sports camp for the freshies.

Ideal

All that I want... 

Each time I chance upon my lappy's wallpaper, an ocean full of thoughts never fail to drown me. You must be wondering why, I've no idea either and I'd like to know it too. Shouldn't it be another way round, some may think. Well maybe I should, just look at the other side of it, just let it all be, it may be a wiser choice.

Snuggling on bed, lao ban beancurd, cereals, a self make-over out of boredom, instagram, an episode of fondant garden, exploring travel deals and playing the piano basically summed up another stay home saturday. Anyway do enjoy this song, gabrielle aplin does have a lovely voice and this pretty much relates to how I'm feeling recently.

Shall do a proper update soon as I'm already dead beat from two days of full morning shifts and another closing shift tomorrow. Do drop by H&M tomorrow to visit me if you happen to be at town and I'll be at the lingerie section again which is ultimate boring but on a much happier note, I'll be working with a number of my fav girls tomorrow (: Till then goodnight x.

Skylight fading in a distance

If I could tell you how I really feel, would you tell me you feel it back? Would it be the happy ending that I’ve rehearsed in my mind, every moment since I met you? The rehearsal, so you know, just in case I ever do tell you how I really feel, goes like this:

That will only happen in dreams, don't they? I wouldn't deny I miss being in love. These days, I admit, I've been reminiscing quite a lot about the past. Wonderful memories, of course and foregoing the bad ones. I miss being young because when we fall in love or rather getting ourselves into such thing as relationship, we can afford to make mistakes and learn. What about now? We can't afford to or should I put this way, we wouldn't dare to make any mistakes now because sometimes those mistakes hurt and getting through that would a tough procedure. 

Time check, 1:12 am now... and my heart feels so heavy which I don't even know why. I swear this feeling is as bad as you knowing why your heart is feeling so or it may be worse than that. At least you can do something about it if you know why but I can do nuts about it now. Jeez le sigh, maybe the sleeping devil should kill me right now so that I can actually have sufficient sleep for morning shift later.
