Bangkok 2014 (Part I)

Hi folks, I finally had the time to do up my bkk post as I didn't have to work today. Will be dividing into several parts instead of posting of my daily activities there as I realized we didn't take much pictures except cafes and restaurants that we went to.

So, we took jetstar there. Bought their promo tix quite sometime back at about $140 each. Pretty cheap right! Okay then my sis and I had quite a hard time booking the hotel as we wanted to choose a better + affordable one since we are staying for five nights.

Arcadia suites was our final choice. It's located at phleon chit, two stops away from siam.

This is our one bedroom suite!

With living room......

And kitchen as well! Just look at the amenities, they provide us with washing machine as well which we used every night to wash our clothes and the best part was it can dry them too!

Oh yes and our suite has two televisions, one in the room and another in the living room.

And this is the best part of this suite, a huge toilet and nice tub!

To be honest, this place obviously isn't that easy to find because it's in a one way alley in from a main road but very safe! They also provide free tuktuk shuttle to and fro phleon chit bts. On top of all these, this serviced apartment/hotel is pretty affordable, I paid about $230 for five nights which I think it's damn worth it!

You can check out more at there website here :>

We headed out after checking in the afternoon to platinum mall, quite standard luh usually the first place most of the singaporeans will head to first. I'd usually hit the pratunam market first but it was pretty late already so we left that for the second day.

Settled down for our first meal at Fuji restaurant at the level six of platinum mall. Food wasn't as good as what I had two years back when I went with lynette but overall, it was still alright and very affordable too. We ordered so much and only paid $10 each hehe.

Part two will be up soon, stay tuned!

P.S Cafe @ Paragon

Ello guys, I know it has been awhile since I last updated. Just got back to sg from bkk a few days back and have been really sleep deprived that I didn't even switch on my laptop to transfer my pictures / blog / update anything except those that I can do with my phone.

Not updating on bkk trip today but on... you already know uh from my post title hahaha!

Met my long time no see H&M divided colleagues from brunch on the saturday before I traveled to celebrate an early 21st birthday for charlene as well as to catch up with everyone.

This truffles fries ($15) is one of the best I had! Portion is huge and good for sharing.

All day breakfast that I had and I really love the scrambled eggs with goat cheese, totally wish I can have it now again. Pardon me, I really can't remember the price of this but roughly around $22? Worth the price though!

What's a meet up without a group photo? Such a pity only 5 of us could meet that day, the rest either had work or were preparing for exams ): Hope to see the rest soon! :>

P.S: Turning twenty-two in 3.5 hours time and I don't know what to feel about it again. Old? Yes maybe.

Gift

This is by far one of the best vids I've ever watched. I haven't had such heart wrenching feeling for quite sometime and this pierced through my heart, deeply.

Short post tonight as I have to be up early tomorrow but more updates soon as I had a pretty fulfilling weekend! And not forgetting, bangkok in another 4 days' time :>

W39 Bistro & Bakery

Hello may, my favourite month of the year! Reasons being - it's my birthday month + bkk getaway (again I know but this time with my sis and her bf along as well) + being able to meet up with my girlfriends as their exams are ending soon too + many more etc etc.

Began may day with having brunch at W39 cafe located off west coast road which is very near clementi stadium. Have been wanting to visit this cafe but no time and tad lazy to travel because you've to take a bus from clementi if you're lazy to walk.

Exterior of W39 cafe! It's relatively small dining spot but it consists of indoor and outdoor seating.

Made a reservation a day ahead because I know I won't be able to get an indoor seat on a public holiday. Isn't the reservation card cute?!

Interior of this cafe is really fanciful as well, mostly decked with light and bright colours. Not to forget, they do sell some of the 90s childhood knick knacks there!

Cafe latte ($4.50) and cafe mocha ($5), nothing much special maybe because I can't really differentiate whether the coffee is fragrant or not :/

Hearty breakfast ($16) for myself. Requested the eggs to be cooked in scrambled style instead of sunny side up and I didn't regret my decision because they were so fluffy and creamy just the way I love it! The butter toast was equally awesome as well, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The rest were pretty average though!

Brie and parma ham panini ($10) for GJ which he thought was very mediocre as it was a very simple dish. I'm not a fan of parma ham nor panini so I didn't try it thus I can't give any comments to it. He even commented that the wagyu burger looks really good as many ordered that so maybe you guys can try that as well.
