Bangkok day two

Our first breakfast in budacco - ham, chicken sausage, sunny side-up, fried rice, potato and orange juice. I always love hotel breakfast :>

View from the road outside our hotel.

Somewhere near pratunam market

Lynette and her new tee!

One of the random stalls inside pratunam market

Headed back to the hotel in the early noon since it was raining and we decided to take a quick rest before second round of shopping.

Met the guys, zhiyu and zhijie!

So unglam zhijie

Nice shot by zhiyu but credits to the room hehe

Some dunkin's for you? :B The mochi donuts are really superb, probably the best donuts I've ever tried!

Settled down for dinner at central world's sizzler for salad bar, free flow of salad for us! Sadly we didn't get to try the chocolate mousse as we've forgotten, yeah what a reason, we were too exhausted that we actually forgot!

Everyone got one for ourselves except jethro, blue one for me! It costs only 250 baht = 10 sgd!

On the tuk tuk back to the hotel and lynette was so scared since it was her first time taking it plus the fact that this tuk tuk driver is a little crazy? Like he will totally jerk the tuk tuk anytime he wanted.

This is the shirt which made all of us laugh our asses out as the boys didn't realize that there's printing at the back of the tees too! Zhiyu's trying to act muscular with his new 'fav' tee hahahaha.

Only then I knew what's swag means...

We've got da swagger! Fav picture of the night :D

Now he wanna act cute, goodness /facepalm/

Loots for the second day!

Places covered during the second day:

Pratunam market - Right smacked opposite platinum fashion mall and it resembles a little like singapore's bugis street but just that you've to purchase the items in three pieces or more since it's a wholesale market. Nevertheless, the wholesale price is definitely more worth it than individual or two pieces price. Most of the clothings which I bought cost around 110 baht each = 4.40 sgd, some are even cheaper like 70 baht = barely 3 sgd and nicer dresses/rompers which cost around 150-200 baht = 6-8 sgd!!

Platinum fashion mall - Items here are very much similar so those at pratunam market just that they are slightly more costly since it's a mall and it's air-conditioned thus the price may tend to be slightly higher. However it's better to get sunglasses here as compared to those in pratunam market and of course there are definitely several shops which sell exclusive pieces that you can't just find everywhere.

Central world - Can be counted as a high-end mall with shops like topshop, naraya, coldstone and etc. Didn't really walk much around here except settling down for dinner at sizzler and to shop at naraya!

MBK - A shopping mall with mostly guys stuffs and phone accessories but I've never really fancied this mall since the phone accessories ain't like real cheap. Most of them cost around 150-250 baht = 6-10 sgd which you can get at a cheaper rate in singapore.

Siam night market - It's a long road which stretches from the opposite side of siam paragon all the way to somewhere near MBK. Some of the items there are extremely pricey since it's a tourist spot. I guess you can try to hagger with them but all of us were too lazy to do so as it was damn crowded and humid.

Bangkok day three up next! (:

Bangkok day one

Hello world I'm finally back from a short getaway to bangkok, our summer shopping paradise!

Stayed over at huimin's crib so as to save a few bucks to travel all the way from the west to the east side to meet lynette at 5 in the morning. I only managed to catch a wink for less than half an hour and both of us ended up chatting/watching videos/facebook-ing/laughing/cam-whoring etc.

Finally in the plane, getting all ready to set off for bangkok! Both of us slept our flight through since I barely slept and lynette didn't even sleep at all due to her school stuffs.

Blue theme for our hotel room at budacco and it was drizzling when we reached (as usual, it always rains each time I travel, the rain god definitely hates me).

Combed through both platinum buildings and had a rest when I saw red mango, fro-yo craving satisfied :B

This is what happened when you shopped too much and when you didn't even have sufficient sleep, zombified.

Lynette's sushi and mentaiko spag (she must have raw food and spaghetti for her meal)

Tempura prawn and zaru soba, my all time favourite! It's damn cheap as compared to singapore and if I remember correctly it costs less than 10 sgd! :O

Last but not least, I finally found the shop which I wanna go so badly, chill which is at a very hidden corner at level 5 of platinum mall. They sell very affordable and cute accessories like ribbon hair tie, hairbands, necklaces, ear studs, notebooks, pouch, belts, bags and etc! I really could stay inside forever.

This has marked the end of the first day as both of us decided to head back to the hotel earlier for a good rest. Stay tuned for the next post, it's definitely much more interesting, fun and insane than the first, goodnight all (:

Goodbye singapore, hello bangkok

Hi folks, it's currently 2 am now and I'm currently at puffybunny's crib, still feeling quite awake or rather quite sleepy and contemplating if I should take a nap before I get myself ready to head to the airport in less than 3 hours time!

Will be back in 4 days' time, stay tuned to the updates when I'm back!! C:

One day, we will miss this

"Looking back at moments from our childhood, our adolescence, or even just a few short years ago, it’s hard not to feel a painful twinge of nostalgia. The vague ache that leaves us wanting to send an email or have a phone call about something that you want to confirm someone else remembers is overwhelming, and even though we don’t often know what to say to these old friends about these old memories, we feel we have to say something. And yet, we often trick ourselves into forgetting that, not terribly long from now, we will feel that same ache about the things we’re living today. The mundane moments we’re slogging through, the underpaid jobs and the irresponsible but loving friends - these are things that will one day seem joyous, even ideal.

One day, we will miss every moment of difficulty that taught us something tangible and immediately applicable to the rest of our lives. Often the lessons we’re learning now are those that have to at least once be felt, but leave you with a maturity that will later define you as an adult. Wading through a marsh of mixed messages and friends at every stage of their lives can be, when in the moment, tedious and exhausting - but it is a time to figure out who we are and what we actually want against a backdrop of limitless options. We’re picking a constellation from a near-endless expanse of stars, defining the trajectory of a life that, at least for now, is just waiting to be lived. We should take our time, but appreciate what it means to do so."

With love and laughter

Blindfolded the birthday girl. First destination for dinner at binjai's peperoni pizzeria. Second stop for some chilling session at king albert island creamery. Red velvet surprise. Lame jokes and crazy laughter. These probably summed up another girlfriend's birthday celebration. Happy belated birthday my dear priscisely, hope you had a splendid night with the girls last night (: We girls will definitely remember your wish about us meeting our grandkids after 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, etc years! Love you girls to bits <3

Keeping in short and sweet as I have to be up in less than six hours' time, till then goodnight x.
